Tony Dranzo – is the owner of The Addicted Angler, an instructional and guide service located near the famous Yellow Breaches area of Pennsylvania. He conducts numerous presentations on all aspects of fly-fishing throughout the commonwealth. His fishing travels have taken him across the United States where he continues to sharpen his skills and never hesitates to share his experiences with fellow fisherman. I have known Tony for several years. He brings a unique enthusiasm to his profession. Once after spending the entire day guiding on the Elk, Tony dragged me out of the store to follow up on an earlier conversation about dry flying for steelhead. On a particularly bright, sunny October afternoon Tony spent at least 30 minutes with me on the Elk demonstrating dry fly techniques. Many times people come into the store and ask me questions about fly -fishing. If I have an answer Tony is one of the reasons why I do. Did I mention Tony is also affiliated with Yellow Breaches Outfitters !

Don Hershfeld – is the proprietor of Streams and Dreams Retreat on the Youghiogheny River near Deep Creek Lake, Maryland, a bed & breakfast with guest cottage (suitable for groups), fly-fish guiding, and instructional services. He is a former aquatic ecologist with the Corps of Engineers. Don earned a masters degree in Fisheries Science and has conducted extensive research on various aspects of stream trout fishing. A knowledgeable and gentle spirit Don believes that fly-fishing skills are developed through a life-time process and that one should, at the very least, appreciate that skills acquisition is the objective and catching trophy fish the reward. I met Don and his wife Karen last year on a high and muddy fishing day. The couple reported the best results of the day, not bad for their first trip on the Elk. I just can’t remember who caught more fish Don or Karen? During our conversation and listening to Don, I realized what a benefit it would be to have Don speak at one of our seminars.
